Stripe Webhook Setup

Step 1: Copy Your Webhook URL
This is the endpoint where Stripe will send webhook events

Step 2: Add Webhook in Stripe Dashboard
Configure your webhook endpoint in Stripe
  1. Go to Stripe Dashboard → Webhooks
  2. Click "Add endpoint"
  3. Paste the webhook URL from Step 1
  4. Select events to listen to (see Step 3)
  5. Copy the "Signing secret" Stripe provides

Important:

After adding the webhook in Stripe, copy the signing secret and add it to your Base44 secrets as STRIPE_WEBHOOK_SECRET

Step 3: Select Webhook Events
These events are required for the payment flow to work
checkout.session.completed
customer.subscription.updated
customer.subscription.deleted
invoice.paid

Select all four events when configuring your webhook in Stripe

Step 4: Add Signing Secret
Add the Stripe webhook signing secret to your Base44 secrets

After creating the webhook in Stripe:

  1. Click on your webhook endpoint in Stripe
  2. Find the "Signing secret" section
  3. Click "Reveal" to see the secret (starts with whsec_)
  4. Go to Base44 Dashboard → Settings → Secrets
  5. Add a new secret: STRIPE_WEBHOOK_SECRET
  6. Paste the signing secret value

Testing

Once configured, complete a test purchase. The webhook will trigger automatically and send the invitation email. Check Base44 Dashboard → Code → Functions → handleStripeWebhook for logs.
